The Housing and Homelessness sector
Explore the Stars available for this sector
This sector is one of the largest sectors Triangle serve and includes housing associations, supported accommodation services, and homelessness services.
The Outcomes Star for homelessness was the original Star, and today it is often used as a generic complex needs tool as well as for people experiencing homelessness.
This Star is widely called the Outcomes Star as it was the first Star published, and it is widely used across many different services in the UK. Training is vital to ensure collaborative and accurate use of the Outcomes Star and to enable keyworkers to use the Journey of Change effectively.
Young Person’s Star
The Young Person’s Star is specifically designed for work with young people moving to independent living including young care leavers, those leaving young offender institutions and those experiencing homelessness or transition.
The Planning Star has been specifically created to provide good practice benchmarks and address the complex needs and challenges of unaccompanied asylum seeking children and young people, who have left their country of origin and who are either alone or who are hoping to settle with relatives. This Star can be used with a range of ages, from the very young to those who are into their twenties. The Star takes into account the difficulties of transition, adjusting to life in a new culture and trying to feel at home in this country.
The Tenancy Star is designed for tenants living in social housing or in private rented accommodation, and who may be at risk of losing their tenancy or experience other difficulties. It is a lighter-touch Star that is designed to be quicker to complete for housing associations and other providers.
Independent Living Star
The Independent Living Star has been designed for adults being supported to live in their own homes as independently as possible. Suitable for older people, people with physical disabilities and others needing additional support to be independent.
