In-house Core Star training and Keyworking with the Outcomes Star

A two day course to equip and support you to use the Outcomes Star effectively by focusing on keyworking approaches and techniques

Are your workers confident to engage effectively with people, including asking open-ended questions, affirming, challenging appropriately, drawing out motivation, agreeing realistic next steps and writing effective action plans?

Introducing key Motivational Interviewing techniques, coaching and solution focused techniques, this two-day course introduces the Outcomes Star with a greater focus on using it to support change.

It is recommended for those wanting to both introduce the Star and develop their workers’ skills and covers all the material from the one-day Introduction to the Outcomes Star course plus additional material on:

How to use the Star to build a good working relationship and agree where someone is starting from, including discussing difficult areas and challenging appropriately
How to use the completed Star as a basis for a realistic action plan, including agreeing SMART actions
Developing keyworking skills and using the Star to motivate and support change.

This training costs £2,200 (exclusive of VAT and trainer travel) for a 2-day in-house course for up to 16 participants. All materials are included.

We are also able to offer day 2 of this course as a stand-alone course for members of staff who have already completed the Core Star training. This costs £1,190 (exclusive of VAT and trainer travel) for up to 16 participants. All materials are included.
