Benchmarking and a national evidence base
National Evidence Base
Because all versions of the Outcomes Star™ are available online, all those using the online system will not only be able to analyse their own Star data in a range of ways, but will also contribute to the development of an anonymised national evidence base of distance travelled outcomes. There are plans to use this evidence base for research and policy development in partnership with relevant sector bodies including Homeless Link and the Mental Health Providers Forum.
Benchmarking
The online system will also enable projects using the online version to benchmark their outcomes against those of other similar projects. Triangle will develop guidelines for benchmarking and will facilitate benchmarking groups to support organisations to maximise potential learning from Star data.
