The Outcomes Star for adults managing ADHD

The ADHD Star has been developed for use with adults of any age who have been diagnosed with ADHD. The Attention Star has also been developed specifically for use with children and young people managing ADHD

The ADHD Star was developed by Triangle with the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Service for Adults with ADHD. Particular thanks to Dr Marios Adamou, West Yorkshire ADHD Support Group, Complex Minds, and service users and carers for collaborating in the development and testing of the ADHD Star.

The ADHD Star covers eight outcome areas essential to helping adults manage their ADHD:

1. Understanding your ADHD
2. Focus and attention
3. Organising yourself
4. Friends and social life
5. Thinking and reacting
6. Physical health
7. How you feel
8. Meaningful use of time.

The ADHD is based on a five-stage Journey of Change:

1. Stuck
2. Getting help
3. Trying things out
4. Finding what works
5. Choice and self-reliance.

Full materials are available for organisations with a Star Licence and training for all managers and workers using the Star.
